Al had phoned with the suggestion of trying somewhere local to the area as he was down visiting parents. I phoned Ian & Neroli & we decided on Minehead as it was going to be low tide & W - NW wind.

Driving over the Somerset levels, it looked like there was going to be no wind at all! Al phoned from Minehead reporting virtually no wind & offshore, so quick decision was made to adjourn to Saunton.

It wasn't really a classic session, though the wind did pick up to good planing strength for half an hour before it went dark.

Managed a few jumps, but the wind was really too onshore for anything radical (as if I could do anything radical!).

I'll give today 3 stars - only becasue it's my 1st time back on the water since breaking my ribs in Ireland in September, and because I sailed the Goya 86 for the 1st time!
